Summary: The war against the Taliban has been a long and bloody one indeed. Where both sides ought to be held accountable for the damage they've caused to everywhere around them. But nature has a way with dealing with meaningless conflict. Why have the humans kill each other and everyone else when you can just have titanic worms do the work?

History: In the deserts of Afghanistan, a few U.S. troops await their last day on the job before heading back. But there has been a delay. There are earthquakes coming out of nowhere, and just recently, their chopper got blindsided and downed by a massive serpentine worm. And it isn't the only one, either. There are giant sand worms everywhere, and both the soldiers and the Taliban are in big trouble.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, what few survivors there are manage to get the marauding worms killed, with the last one perishing when the second-to-last survivor jumps into its maw with a timebomb.

Powers/Abilities: Resilient hides.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 4-The amateur CGI does little to hide how bad a situation would be where these things are involved. They indeed feel colossal, and one can only imagine what goes on in that mouth when they catch prey. For all we know, it's like getting caught in a demon blender.

Trivia: -One of the most famous sand worms in fiction is actually the Shai-Hulud of the "Dune" franchise. They are massive and dangerous, yet at the same time deified and protected for the valuable and near-mystical spice they produce.

-From their physical appearance to the setting they're in, it can be safely inferred that the sand serpents were actually based off the Mongolian death worm, a famous cryptid. That beast would actually get its own film later on...
